Queen Dedicate New Studio Album To Freddie Mercury
Queen receive dedicated their new studio album, their first in 13 long time, to their former frontman Freddie Mercury.
'The Cosmo Rocks' is the band's first base album to feature Mercury's replacement vocaliser Paul Rodgers, who takes shared credits on the project along with guitar player Roger May and Roger Taylor.
The album, which is released on September 15th, will be preceded by the single 'C-lebrity'.
Speaking about the sung, Taylor aforementioned: "�C-lebrity� is really a comment on the electric current concept of fame - success and all that goes with it.

Testosterone Predominance Increases Prevalence Of Metabolic Syndrome During The Menopausal Transition
�As testosterone progressively dominates the hormonal milieu during the
menopausal transition, the prevalence of metabolic syndrome increases
according to a new sketch by researchers at Rush University Medical Center.

The longitudinal, 9-year-study of 949 participants in the Study of Women's
Health Across the Nation (SWAN) shows that the incidence of metabolic
syndrome increased progressively from six long time before to six long time after
the final menstrual period, independent of ripening and other known
cardiovascular disease danger factors. The increase is steeper during the
menopausal transition compared to the post menopausal years.
"Menopause-related testosterone predomination appears to be implicated as a
key hormonal change that is associated with the incidence of metabolic
syndrome," said lead investigator Imke Janssen, PhD, assistant professor,
Department of Preventive Medicine at Rush University Medical Center.
It was previously thought that estrogen exerted a direct positive result on
cardiovascular disease danger in women, a benefit that was lost as women
transitioned from a premenopausal to a postmenopausal state and experienced
a loss of estrogen.
"Our study information shows that the change in oestrogen level is, at best, a fallible
and nonsignificant predictor of metabolic syndrome risk," aforesaid Janssen. "A
more potential story is that the progressive testosterone predominance exerts a
mastermind negative issue on cardiovascular risk."
The SWAN study is a multiethnic, community -based, longitudinal cohort study
of the natural history of the menopausal passage in o'er 3300 women

George Michael sounds off on gay marriage in US, says it's 'way overdue'
SAN DIEGO - George Michael is a most happy fellow these days: He's kicking off his first North American tour in 17 years and same-sex marriage has just been legalized in California.
"It's way overdue," the 44-year-old English pop star told The Associated Press. "It's something that happened ... almost without a whisper in England, but it was basically because we weren't that concerned about the word 'marriage."'
Michael, who is openly gay, said, "because this is a much more religious society, there are a huge number of people who want (their) unions to be part of something that they can place in their religion, so (marriage is) much more important here. I think that's why it's so long in arriving here, but I think it's fantastic, obviously."
Hundreds of gay and lesbian couples rushed to county clerks' offices throughout California this week to obtain marriage licenses and exchange vows as same-sex marriage became legal Monday afternoon.
The next day, Michael kicked off the multi-city "25 Live" tour at the San Diego Sports Arena.
Why so long between concerts here?
"The '90s were a bit of a disaster for me in so many ways. On a personal level, I don't think I could have toured. Also, I had some physical problems with my back that are now sorted and I just wasn't in the right state of mind," he told the AP.
Michael, who recently released his greatest-hits album, "Twenty Five," in the United States, has said this will be his last arena tour because he wants to lead a quieter life.
"I have got other interests than just making music. I would like to follow those interests through. You never know, in five years I might be back here begging you all to forgive me," he said. "But I really think I can do much more constructive work as an artist if I step out of this again."
Michael sang in the 1980s pop group Wham! before stepping out for a successful solo career. His hits include "Faith," "Father Figure" and "One More Try."
He has had several run-ins with the law, on charges ranging from drug possession to lewd conduct.

Bond's new film set to fly Virgin
James Bond loves Aston Martin cars and when it comes to even higher flying it now seems that Richard Branson's Virgin Atlantic is 007's airline of choice.
Virgin has announced that the airline will again feature in the new Bond film 'Quantum of Solace', starring Daniel Craig as 007.
"Virgin Atlantic and James Bond make a great partnership; slick, smooth and renowned the world over", said Branson.
The news follows the cameo appearance that Branson made in Craig's first outing as Bond in 'Casino Royale'. Virgin aircraft were also seen in that movie.
Virgin also announced that it would be a global partner for 'Quantum of Solace' and would be supporting the film's release with a series of promotional and marketing initiatives.
The Virgin Atlantic president added: "'Casino Royale' propelled Bond to greater success and we're certain that 'Quantum of Solace' will set an even higher standard."
Virgin's competitor British Airways cut out Branson and airbrushed the Virgin logo from the film when showing it on their in-flight entertainment system.
BA is later expected to comment on what their in-flight policy will be when the new Bond film comes out in November this year.

Williams breaks silence on Heath Ledger death
Actress Michelle Williams has spoken publicly for the first time since the death of her former partner Heath Ledger saying "my heart is broken."
In a short statement: Williams said: "Please respect our need to grieve privately. My heart is broken."
The mother of Ledger's two-year-old daughter Matilda added: "I am the mother of the most tender-hearted, high-spirited, beautiful little girl who is the spitting image of her father. All that I can cling to is his presence inside her that reveals itself every day.
"His family and I watch Matilda as she whispers to trees, hugs animals, and takes steps two at a time, and we know that he is with us still. She will be brought up in the best memories of him."
